If your child is under 18 years old before the end of the year with a valid social security number, you can make an election to open "Trump Accounts." It's like a retirement/tax-advantaged investment account for kids.

You can either file Form 4547 with your tax returns or simply fill out the information at https://form.trumpaccounts.gov

If your child is born between 2025-2028, $1,000 deposit from the government.

**Contributions can't be made until after July 4, 2026!

One Big Beautiful Bill - no tax on overtime pay

Before we get into detail, do you know the difference between FLSA overtime and CA overtime (if you live in CA)?

FLSA stands for The Fair Labor Standards Act and it is Federal law:
Generally, if you work over 40 hours in a work week, any excess over 40 hours is subject to overtime pay.

CA Law:
If you work more than 8 hours a day or 40 hours in a work week, any excess is subject to OT pay.

OBBB's overtime rules is based on FLSA, not CA law. It's very important to review your W-2 or overtime pay when filing your tax returns.

Are you ready for the tax filings?

For business owners, make sure your books are closed and ready:
✔️ Is the bank account(s) reconciled?
✔️ Is the credit card account(s) reconciled?
✔️ Are your loan payable same as the lender statement?
✔️ Are you done with Q4 payroll filings and W2s? If not, wait until everything is finalized.
✔️ If your business has sales tax collected from customers, are you done with filing Q4 sales tax return?
✔️ Did you have any big purchases during 2025? If any, have those invoices readily available.

US မှာ CPA license ယူချင်သူ​တွေ စိတ်ဝင်စားသူ​တွေ အတွက် sharing ပါ

State board က​နေ ပေးတာ ဖြစ်တဲ့ အတွက်
ကိုယ် နေထိုင်မယ့် state or အလုပ်လုပ်မယ့် state မှာ လျှောက်ရပါတယ်.

CPA exam က nationwide အတူတူပါဘဲ. State ပေါ်မူတည်ပြီး license requirements နည်းနည်း ပြောင်းပါတယ်.

အခု ပြထားတာက CA state ရဲ့ CPA exam ဖြေဖို့ အတွက် education requirement ပါ. Requirement ပြည့်မှ exam ဖြေလို့ရပါတယ်. Exam က 4 parts ပါ.

ခက်လား ဆိုတော့ ခက်ပါတယ်. ကြိုးစားရင် အောင်ပါတယ်. 💪💪💪

New Year Resolutions ထဲမှာ ပါသင့်တဲ့ အကြောင်းလေးတစ်ခု 🚨

ကိုယ့်မှာ checking and saving accounts အပြင်တခြားပိုင်ဆိုင်မှုတွေ ရှိရင် Living Trust ကို လုပ်ထားသင့်ပါတယ်.

မရှိသေးဘူး ဆိုရင် New Year list ထဲကို အမြန်ထည့်လိုက်ပါ. ဘာလို့လဲဆိုရင် Trust ရှိထားခြင်းဟာ ကိုယ့်မိသားစု ကိုယ့်ပိုင်ဆိုင်မှုကို ကာကွယ်ထားခြင်းတမျိုးပါ. အခွန်ပိုင်း ဆိုင်ရာ မှာလည်း အကျိုးအမြတ် အများကြီး ရှိပါတယ်.

Sacramento တဝိုက်မှာ နေထိုင်သူ တွေ Trust/estate lawyer ကောင်းကောင်း ရှာနေရင် မင်း သိတဲ့ lawyer ရှိပါတယ်.
