Here I go again 🤭
Few weeks after getting back from Europe, the suit case is back out, but this trip looks a little different. Heading to Orlando this week for the IRS Nationwide Tax Forum.

I’m always a student and keep up with tax updates so my clients don’t have to. Tax laws, guidance, and strategies continue to change, and continuing education is part of making sure I’m staying current for the individuals and business owners who trust me with their taxes.

If I had 145 days left to change my tax bill, here’s exactly what I’d do.

Because that’s the number. 145 days between today and December 31.

Everything you do between now and then is planning. Everything after that is reporting.

That’s the whole difference, and it’s worth thousands.

A tax preparer opens your file in February and tells you what happened. A tax strategist opens it in August and changes what’s going to happen.

In 145 days you can still: adjust your estimated payments, open and fund a retirement plan, time income and expenses, revisit your entity, clean up your books, and buy what you were going to buy anyway — deliberately instead of accidentally.

In 45 days you can do most of that.

In December, you can do none of it.

This is where it happens. 📓

On the floor. Notebook open. iPad up. A vision that won’t leave me alone.

I became a tax strategist because I’ve seen it too many times, business owners working hard, growing revenue, and still giving away more than they should at tax time. Not because they aren’t smart. Because nobody ever taught them how to be strategic.

That gap became personal to me.

My grandmother showed up for her community. My sister believed in me before I fully believed in myself. My dad’s life and passing reminded me that time is not promised and purpose is not optional. And my children, they’re the reason I refuse to stay small.
