Summer has a way of reminding us how quickly time passes.

One minute you’re carrying them. The next you’re trying to keep up with them.

As moms, we spend years juggling schedules, responsibilities, careers, businesses, swim practices, basketball games, and everything in between.

Yet somehow the years fly by.

Looking at my boys recently, I realized that many of the moments that felt ordinary at the time have become some of my most treasured memories.

The lesson for me?

Be present.

The emails will get answered. The laundry will get done. The to-do list will still be there tomorrow.

But these summers, these walks, these moments… they don’t last forever.💙

Summer looks a little different when you work for yourself. ☀️

Today I’m poolside during swim practice with my planner, notebook, water bottle, and a few goals to chase.

Years ago, I thought work meant commuting, asking permission for time off, and missing moments like these.

Now it looks like answering messages between laps, helping families save money, mentoring women who want extra income, and still being here when my kids need me.

Not every day is perfect, but I’m incredibly grateful for the flexibility I’ve built over the last 17 years.

Here’s to summer, swim practice, and creating a life you don’t need a vacation from. 💙

I was talking to a friend recently who’s really feeling it financially right now.

Like… stressed, stretched, trying to hold it all together.

She said something I haven’t been able to shake:

“I wanted to take my kids somewhere fun this summer… but I just can’t afford it. So we’re staying home and it feels so lame.”

That hit me.

Because I think a lot of moms are quietly carrying that same pressure right now—
especially with everything going on and summer coming.

Feeling like we’re supposed to create these big, magical experiences…
even when it doesn’t make sense financially.

But here’s what I keep coming back to:

Your kids don’t measure your love in plane tickets or hotel upgrades.

They don’t know what something “should” cost.
They don’t see the numbers.
They don’t feel the financial pressure behind the scenes.

They remember you.

Your time.
Your attention.
Your energy.
The moments where you’re actually present.

The laughter. The random traditions.
The pancakes bigger than their heads on a random Tuesday.

Do they get excited about trips? Of course.
But what they actually want… is you.

You don’t have to stretch yourself thin or go into debt to create a meaningful summer for your kids.

You’re already doing more than you think.

And that’s not lame. Not even close. 💛

I’ve talked to so many moms lately who are feeling it…

The pressure.
The uncertainty.
That “I thought we were okay” feeling.

With layoffs happening left and right, it’s not just about extra income anymore—it’s about peace of mind.

And the part people don’t really talk about?

Still having to show up for your kids…
Head into the weekend…
Keep things feeling normal—even when your mind is running.

That’s a lot to carry.

I think that’s why more women are open to conversations they wouldn’t have entertained a year ago.

Not out of desperation—
but out of a desire to have options.

And honestly… I get it 🤍
