Not every RIA platform is built the same. And advisors who assume “independence” means the same thing everywhere often find out too late that it doesn’t.

In his latest piece, our CEO Ryan O. Smith breaks down the 3 questions every advisor should ask before choosing a platform:

• Is there true cultural alignment, or just a good pitch deck?
• Do you actually understand the economics, beyond the headline payout number?
• Does the platform’s definition of independence match yours?

The move to independence is supposed to be about freedom. But the wrong platform can create complexity in exactly the places advisors don’t expect: economics, decision-making, culture, and long-term control.

The goal isn’t to find a platform that helps you transition. It’s to find one that helps you build.

Today we want to highlight the 10 year anniversary of advisor Nir Regev and the Regev Group. From the beginning, it’s been a natural fit and easy partnership.

We recently brought together a group of our advisors in Puerto Rico for our Elite Advisor Summit. The goal was to celebrate those who consistently go above and beyond for the clients they serve.

A few highlights:
• Building stronger relationships and sharing ideas across our advisor community
• Conversations that go beyond surface level, focused on how to better serve clients
• Practical, insight-driven sessions designed to elevate the client experience
• A little time to recharge, with activities like ziplining, golf, snorkeling, and a day on the water
• An “Amazing Networking Race” that brought out some friendly competition
• And as always, a sunrise run led by Diversify President, Dave Laga

When advisors step away to learn, connect, and reset, it shows up in how they guide and support the families they work with.
