As tax season approaches, it's important to know which credits you qualify for and how they can help you! Here’s a quick breakdown of three key credits:
🔹 Earned Income Credit (EIC)
Designed to help low- to moderate-income workers, especially with children.
You must have earned income, and the credit amount depends on your income and number of qualifying children.
🔹 Child Tax Credit (CTC)
Available for each qualifying child under 17, this credit helps reduce your tax bill.
It phases out at higher income levels but offers a $2,000 credit per child.
Partially refundable:
🔹 Dependent Care Credit
Helps cover childcare costs for children under 13 or a dependent/spouse unable to care for themselves while you work.
Non-refundable: It only reduces your tax liability but doesn’t result in a refund.
