Friendly reminder:

January is not the time to start getting your business finances together.

If you’re waiting until tax season to figure out what happened all year…

Baby. 😭

We need to talk.

You might think your taxes are “simple.”

One W-2.
Maybe a child.
Maybe a little interest income.

But simple doesn’t always mean straightforward.

The questions are:

Are you claiming the right credits?
Are your dependents eligible?
Are your withholding and income telling the same story?
Are there tax changes that apply to you this year?

Your tax return deserves more than, “I usually get about the same refund.”

At Edwards Tax Prep, I don’t just prepare returns. I help my clients understand what they’re filing.

If you want a tax preparer who will actually look at YOUR situation, I’m accepting clients for the upcoming tax season.

Get on the early client list.

Tax season is coming, and if your taxes are already stressing you out, let’s fix that BEFORE January.

Maybe you’re a W-2 employee with a side hustle.

Maybe you have kids and your tax situation has changed.

Maybe you bought a home, started a business, worked multiple jobs, or simply don’t understand why your refund keeps changing.

You don’t need another person who just punches numbers into software.

You need someone who will actually look at YOUR situation, explain what matters, and help you file correctly.

That’s what I do at Edwards Tax Prep.

📋 My early client list is OPEN.

If you know you’ll need a tax preparer this upcoming tax season, don’t wait until everybody is scrambling for an appointment.

Get on my list early.

If you’re planning to file your taxes with me this upcoming tax season, September is a good time to get your paperwork together.

W-2s.
1099s.
Business income and expenses.
Childcare records.
Mortgage interest.
1098-Ts.
Health insurance information.

Don’t wait until you’re sitting in front of your preparer trying to remember where everything is.

Preparation makes tax season a whole lot easier.

Had a client tell me last week that she almost didn’t file because she thought she owed more than she could pay.

We sat down, walked through her actual numbers, and found deductions she didn’t even know she qualified for. She ended up getting a refund instead.

This is why I always say, don’t assume. Let’s find out for sure. That’s what I’m here for.

Real talk. What’s the ONE tax question you’ve always been scared to ask an accountant?

No judgment here. Drop it in the comments and I’ll answer as many as I can today. 👇🏼Sometimes the question you’re embarrassed to ask is the one that saves you the most money.

Proverbs 21:5 says the plans of the diligent lead to profit, but haste leads to poverty. That verse has been sitting with me this morning.

Tax season is coming whether we’re ready or not. But diligence now, getting your documents together, understanding what’s changed, having a real plan, that’s what turns stress into peace later.

God didn’t call us to panic. He called us to prepare. Let’s do this the right way this year.

September tax check-in:

If you’re self-employed or have a side hustle, do you know how much you made this year?

Not a guess.

Do you have the records?

Income, expenses, mileage, receipts, 1099s…

Start getting organized now.

Because January is not the time to try to remember everything you did for the last 12 months. 😂

Tax preparation starts before tax season.

If you need help getting prepared, keep Edwards Tax Prep on your radar.

Taxpayers, can I give you some advice?

Stop choosing your tax preparer based on who promises the biggest refund.

A bigger refund doesn’t automatically mean a better return.

You want someone who understands your situation, follows the tax law, asks the right questions, and can explain your return to you.

That’s the standard at Edwards Tax Prep.

Tax season is coming.

Choose your preparer based on knowledge, not just the number they promise you.
