Every illness has symptoms, right?
Sneezing and itchy eyes in the month of September? Probably seasonal allergies.
Fever, cough, runny nose, nausea, and fatigue?
Probably the flu or Chinese Plague!
Here’s the thing – businesses are living organisms, too. And when there’s something wrong, businesses show symptoms, too –
Do any of these “symptoms” sound familiar in your business?
🥵 Just thinking about the next tax deadline makes you sweat, because you know your financial records are SO far out of date (and nowhere near ready to file)
🥱 The only time you have to work on your business financial records is either late at night or on the weekends (when you really should be sleeping or having fun with your friends and family)
🤢 You try to run a financial report and feel queasy just looking at what your financial software spits out – you’re not even sure if the report is correct, never mind how to actually READ it or do something useful with it
Does that sound like you and your business? Or maybe you have other symptoms like:
🥶 Always filing your taxes late
🤧 Never following up on past-due client invoices
🤒 Regularly overdrawing your accounts
🥴 Or more!
Of course, something like this isn’t exactly like allergies or the flu, where you can just pick up a bottle of Claritin or Theraflu.
However, these business symptoms are definitely treatable, and a good bookkeeper can help you get your business back to full financial health again.
For example, with the help and “treatment” of a good bookkeeper:
❤️ Your financial records will always be up-to-date
❤️ Tax time will be a breeze – no more last-minute panic
❤️ No more late-night reconciling or weekend receipt-hunting
❤️ And no more confusing financial reports you fumble through on your own
WAY better than all the icky junk you were dealing with before the bookkeeper, right?
So if your growing business is showing these symptoms of needing a bookkeeper – listen to what your business is telling you and go get yourself a good one! And get back your weekends, your profit margin, and your financial health (and sanity!) ❤️
(P.S. And, of course, I’m a pretty good bookkeeper myself – or at least that’s what my clients say 😉 So always feel free to reach out – I’d love to help you regain your financial health, too!)
