I will be in Sacramento on June 11th. I was going anyway so I decided to make something out of it.

Seven seats. Private dinner. $997 a seat. Dinner included.

Every owner I sit down with wants the same thing. More money, more freedom, a business that runs without them. Most of them have never been shown one specific thing that can add $200 to $2,000 a month in recurring, automatic revenue. Not theory. Something you implement and feel immediately.

Seven seats. One table. No pitching, no panels.

Most PA firms that try to sell never close.

Not because nobody wants to buy. Because there is nothing there to buy.

Everything runs through the owner. The relationships, the judgment calls, the institutional knowledge. Pull the owner out and the business stops.

That is not a sellable asset. That is a job with a company name on it.

There is a fix. But it takes time to build. The owners who figure that out early are the ones who actually have options when the time comes.

New solo episode on YouTube breaks this down. Link in the comments.

The public adjusting business model does not work for anyone who wants to scale.

Sign a claim. Work the claim. Get paid when the claim gets paid. You cannot hire, you cannot plan, you cannot invest when you have no idea if your next check is coming in three months or fourteen months.

I built a PA firm. I lived this. It is why I started looking at what actually makes a service business scalable and sellable.

"It's not show friends, it's show business."

Jack Hanks said this on the podcast and I think every business owner needs to hear it.

He built VPA Claims to $248 million in claims. When we talked about scaling, he did not sugarcoat it. If you are making us money, you have a job. If you are not, you do not.

I have watched owners keep the wrong people too long because the conversation is uncomfortable. That discomfort shows up in performance, in culture, and in your valuation when it is time to sell.

Jack Hanks said something on the podcast that I think every business owner needs to hear.

People go on LinkedIn and spend years building an image of what they think they should be. Then you meet them in person and it is a completely different person.

The owners who build something that actually sells for a real number are almost always the same person in every room. Online, in the boardroom, across the table from a buyer.

Authenticity is not just a character trait. It is a valuation driver.

This Memorial Day, we remember.

Grateful for the men and women who gave everything so the rest of us could build something.

The freedom to start a business, scale it, and sell it on your own terms is not a given. Someone paid for it.

Honor that today.

Most owners I sit down with are doing over a million in revenue. Good team, solid numbers, busy every day.

And almost none of them can tell me what their business is actually worth.

Not because they are not smart. Because nobody ever sat down with them and showed them the real number.

That is exactly what this dinner is about.

Sacramento, June 11th. Seven seats. $997 a seat, dinner included. No pitching, no panels. Just a real conversation about where your business is headed and what it is actually worth when it matters most.

DM me the word ASSET.

Your tax returns are lies. Legally.

You spent your entire career showing the IRS zero profit. Every personal expense you could run through the business, you did. The truck, the cell phone, the conference in Hawaii, all of it.

But now that you are selling, you need to prove max profit. You cannot have it both ways without someone who knows how to recast your financials.

A good broker takes your books and identifies every personal write-off that is actually owner benefit. A business that looks like it makes $50,000 on paper can be proven to generate $150,000 or more. That difference alone usually pays the broker's entire commission.
