Just because something is deductible does not mean you should buy it.

A tax deduction may reduce your taxable income, but it does not make a bad purchase a good one.

Before spending money, ask yourself:

Will this help me generate revenue?

Will it improve efficiency?

Will it save significant time?

Will it support growth?

The best business purchases are not made because of the tax benefit.

They are made because they help the business move forward.

The tax benefit is simply a bonus.

There is a growing tension around pastors and money.

And while the conversation is important, it has to be handled with clarity.

Scripture does not teach that spiritual leadership requires poverty. It teaches that leadership requires integrity, discipline, and accountability.

A pastor having resources is not the issue. The issue is whether those resources are being handled with transparency, humility, and responsibility.

Because influence without integrity creates confusion.

This is why the conversation cannot stop at โ€œhow much someone has.โ€
It has to move toward โ€œhow well it is being stewarded.โ€

Wealth is not the disqualifier.
Character is.

A tax deduction can be helpful, but it does not make a purchase free.

That is why โ€œjust write it offโ€ is not a complete strategy.

Saving receipts matters. Knowing the rules matters even more. But the strongest approach is spending with a strategy.

Before making a business purchase, ask whether it supports growth, improves operations, saves time, or creates real value.

Good tax planning is not about spending just to spend.

It is about making intentional decisions with your money.
