One of the biggest problems I see is owners making decisions based on outdated numbers.

Hiring decisions.
Spending decisions.
Owner pay decisions.

Bookkeeping software can automate parts of the process, but automation alone does not guarantee accurate books.

Transactions can be miscoded. Issues can be missed. Reports can look fine until tax time or cleanup proves otherwise.

That is why human review still matters.

I use efficient systems and modern tools, but the books still need a real person reviewing them each month to help ensure they are reconciled, accurate, and current.

If you enjoy messy books and higher taxes, this QuickBooks mistake is for you.

One small mistake in QuickBooks can make your income look higher than it really is.

A payment comes into your bank account
and instead of being handled the correct way, it gets counted again as new income.

So now the same money is showing up twice.

QuickBooks is basically saying, wow, look at you making all this extra money.

Except you are not.

And that can lead to:

But here’s the honest question…Are your books actually ready now?
