Tax season is in full swing, and with that, we have a few reminders...

💰 Each year, there are always a few people who decide to "do their own taxes (or bookkeeping/payroll/sales tax/ etc...)". That's absolutely fine if that's what you want to do. HOWEVER, texting or calling 📱 Paul with questions is not " doing it yourself"; it's actually Paul doing your taxes for free....and IT'S NOT HAPPENING!

I (Melanie) have seen him taken advantage of, over the years, far too many times. Paul is VERY affordable -to the point of selling himself short for many years-and those days are over. His time is valuable, just like everyone else's, and he has always gone above and beyond for his clients, not charging for phone calls or messages, often doing pick-up and delivery services free of charge, doing payment plans for those who need extra time to pay their bills, etc...

For reference, I just happened to see a Turbo Tax commercial on TV the other day. To do your own taxes, on their website, costs $150...and that is for NEW customers. I'm assuming that is a promotional price and that returning customers cost more than that. So...do with that information what you will, but that proved to me just how affordable Paul is for a basic return. 💥

💰 The drop-off bin is located on our porch again this year. You can drop off documents at your convenience. Be advised that the road that we live on is not maintained by our borough and our driveway isn't great either. If you are worried about making it up the hill or falling on the ice, message us, and we will be happy to meet you somewhere or make arrangements for pick-up and drop-off. We do not want to risk anyone having an accident. 🚗 ❄️

💰 Most clients take advantage of the drop-off / pick-up method that has proved to work really well for our business. There are, however, a handful of people who prefer to sit with Paul while he does their return. 💥 Be advised that we DO NOT OFFER A PUBLIC RESTROOM for clients at this time. 🚽 It is our goal to finish an office space for him, at some point, with a public restroom 🚻, but at this time, he has not been able to find the time to complete that project. Plan accordingly.

💰 As in previous years, the client is provided copies of all of their tax documents. It is your responsibility to SECURE YOUR DOCUMENTS IN A SAFE PLACE. If you need copies of these documents at some point during the year, and you are unable to find them, there will be a $10 fee for each document that you need. It takes time to find and print extra copies, and it takes ink to print them. 🫟
