Can you believe we’re almost halfway through 2026? 🤯 Before July sneaks up on you, now is the perfect time to pause and take a good look at where you stand financially.
Whether you’re trying to stay on a personal budget or managing cash flow for your small business, a mid-year checkup can save you a lot of stress—and money—come December. 💰
Here are 5 things you should review right now:
1️⃣ Your Tax Withholding: Had a big life change, a raise, or a new side hustle? Check the IRS Estimator now so you aren't stuck with a surprise bill next April.
2️⃣ Budget vs. Reality: No judgment, just honesty. Compare your actual spending over the last 3 months to the goals you set in January.
3️⃣ Business Financials: Small business owners, are your books up to date? Run a Profit & Loss report and check in on those outstanding invoices.
4️⃣ Retirement Contributions: Are you on pace to max out your accounts? (Reminder: the 2026 IRA contribution limit is $7,000, or $8,000 if you're 50+).
5️⃣ Goals for the Second Half: Decide right now what you want your finances to look like on December 31st, and write it down.
The second half of the year is your opportunity to make things happen! 🙌
