Financial Manager
BASIC JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Based in Alberton
Monthly processing and controls
• Ensuring that processing is up to date on a daily basis
• Processing transactions accurately
• Ensuring all transactions are sufficiently supported
• Completing reconciliations in a timely manner
• Completing reconciliations accurately with sufficient support
• Resolving reconciling items in a timely manner
• Completing management accounts within the deadline timeframe
• Preparing accurate contractual agreements
• Preparation of income tax and VAT calculations and reconciliations
• Monthly SARS submissions (PAYE and VAT)
• Processing and management of investment transactions and reconciliations
• Performing a continuous self-review on work
• Performing other duties and responsibilities, as assigned
People Management
• Providing oversight and direction to the employees in the department in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures.
• Coaching, mentoring, and developing staff
• Empowering employees to take responsibility for their jobs and goals
• Leading employees using a performance management and development process that provides an overall context and framework to encourage employee contribution and includes goal setting, feedback, and performance development planning
REQUIRED MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
• 2-5 years’ experience
• B Com Accounting Degree
