From the 13th of July, SARS opens tax season for provisional taxpayers. 📋

Are you one? If you are a business owner, a freelancer, or earning income outside of a salary there is a very good chance you are.

And unlike auto-assessment, provisional taxpayers are expected to go onto eFiling and submit manually. SARS will not do it for you.

You have until the 13th of July to log into eFiling, check if the information is correct, and either accept it or dispute it.

Getting a refund? Make sure your banking details on eFiling are up to date or that refund will not reach you.

📅 1 July 2026 - Tax season opens
📅 22 January 2027 - Individual tax season closes

That window is shorter than it feels. Don't leave your submission to the last minute.
