Pivotal to the delivery of our vision are our digital platforms and technology infrastructure. To provide clarity and certainty, make it easy for taxpayers and traders to comply with their obligations and building public trust and confidence, our technology assets must demonstrate the highest levels of availability, robustness and security.

In accordance with our Vision and Strategic Objectives, which include modernising our systems to provide Digital and Streamlined online services, we are hard at work ensuring that our digital platforms and technology infrastructure are available, robust and secure, by performing regular upgrades, enhancements and maintenance.
Considering the above, SARS Digital platform upgrades are scheduled for Friday, 17 May 2024 from 18h00 to 22h00 .

During this time, you may experience intermittent service interruption on our eFiling and Customs Digital Platforms.

Responses (CUSRES messages) to transactions submitted during this time will be delayed, however, arrival and exit management functions are available at land border posts for all released declarations and manifests.

Stakeholders are therefore urged to submit all Goods Declarations (bills of entry) and Road Manifest, especially those deemed priority, by Friday, 17 May 2024 @ 17h00.

SARS will again issue auto-assessed tax returns to numerous non-provisional individual taxpayers with less complicated tax matters. If a taxpayer is auto assessed, they will be notified by SMS or email in July.

ROE deadline – 31 May 2023 to be extended

The Compensation Fund is aware of system errors when clients re trying to submit their ROE. The ROE system requires clients to update contact details but once updated clients are receiving error messages that the “organization update failed”. Various other issues and error messages are also received. The Compensation Fund is working on a solution together with their IT department and will inform SAICA as soon as the system is operational again.

They have committed to publish an extension of the ROE deadline from 31 May to 30 June 2023 and sincerely apologises for the inconvenience caused. SAICA will publish the extension as soon as gazetted.

🐰Easter Egg Collection Drive🐰

We tried this two years ago, but COVID abruptly stopped us in our tracks and we had to cancel everything. BUT, we're going to try this again to give joy in some children and the elderly's lives.
Please help us collect as many Easter eggs as possible to hand out to the less fortunate in our community.
