GCA’S PREPARATORY SEMINARS FOR CFA ACCA CIMA EXAMS

GCA Zimbabwe is a division of Scotel established on the 1st of March 2006 will be offering once again a CFA prep course intended for students planning to sit the Chartered Financial Analysis (CFA) Level I exams in 2023 and 2024.GCA has a track record for producing Oxford Brookes University Bsc(Hons) in Applied Accounting graduates and MBA, ACCA FIA Foundations 3 certificates ACCA,CIM,CIMA and CFA graduates . This is a globally recognized standard for measuring the competence and integrity of investment professionals. Given the complexity of the financial markets and the fact that Zimbabwe is becoming a financial hub of the region, it is becoming imperative for finance professionals to gain a solid understanding of finance theory and practice. This can be achieved by gaining this designation. Once you become a CFA charterholder, you can then enroll in the CFA Institute – an organization with fast growing membership worldwide representing all major banks, including investment valuation, portfolio management, asset allocation, economic and market analysis and ethical practices. Classes will begin in August 2023 and will conclude by January, a month before the exams (June 2024) and second group intake in August 2023 and concludes end of November 2023 . There will be four block session, one every month held on a Friday, Saturday and Sunday as described in schedule below or time table for Thursday to Saturday. The total course commitment hours are 88 or more hours if the candidate opts for a long training period. CFA requires thoroughness in terms of preparation and exam practice.
Keeping in mind that CFA requires a lot of personal commitment and study, to achieve best results, we expect you to come to classes prepared. Before each session please read related material from your CFA workbooks. During the class we will focus on giving you more summarized material and relevant practices that will help you succeed in the exam. The prep courses should not be considered as a replacement to reading required, but as an additional tool to help you pass the exam.
Note that the CFA level 1 pass rates are low and we want to make sure that we are way above the average pass rate with this class. The only way we can achieve that is by making sure that both you and the trainers work together and are committed to this goal.
