In the wake of global warming and damages caused by climate change, Sustainability and sustainable practices of doing business have now become more critical than ever before. It is international scientific consensus that, in order to prevent the worst climate change, global net human-caused emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2) need to fall by about 45 percent from 2010 levels by 2030, reaching net zero around 2050.

As the travel market has changed significantly post the pandemic, hospitality industry has a unique opportunity to take a lead on sustainability beyond the usual ‘back to normal’ and offer sustainable travel options. Due to the rising importance of green standards, Google and Booking.com have now added eco-certifications to search results for hotels. This would mean that more and more customers are likely to make lower-carbon choices. Businesses that do not incorporate ESG into its strategy will risk being left behind compared to its competitors with greener choices.

We are pleased to invite you to the third episode of our Webinar Series ‘Sustainability, Sustainable Finance & ESG Reporting’, where we discuss with our panel of experts what sustainability means for the hospitality industry and what are the underlying ESG reporting requirements.

What will you learn?

1) What is Sustainability and net zero commitments?
2) What does ESG mean throughout the lifecycle of hotel asset?
3) What is the relevance of Sustainability for the accounting and finance community?
4) What is Sustainable Finance? How can ESG be incorporated into the investment decisions?
5) How do you make a business case for sustainability for the investors and owners?
6) What are the guidelines for ESG reporting?
7) Sneak peek at the sustainability initiatives taken by hospitality companies across the globe.
8 ) With budgeting season around the corner, how can hospitality businesses incorporate sustainability into its strategy?
9) What do businesses need to do to be ready for ESG reporting?

Panelists joining the discussion will be:
