👇 RERA Rental Dispute: What Every Tenant Must Know
❗ Step 1: 30-Day Legal Notice
If your rent is overdue, the landlord can legally serve a notice.
Don't ignore it. Pay what you can and stay in communication.
⚖️ Step 2: RERA Case Filed
After 30 days, they can file a case.
👉 Hire a lawyer. If not affordable, use someone legally certified to file in RERA.
(⚠️ Beware of frauds! Many fake agents exploit this step.)
📂 Bring Documents:
Job loss proof, school fees, salary slip, credit card bills — everything that proves financial hardship.
🚪 Step 3: Eviction
If the judge isn’t convinced, eviction is real.
Landlord can request action 15 days after judgment.
Once approved, CID and RERA enforcement show up — often within 7–30 days.
📅 Check the RERA system DAILY. Landlords can reduce eviction time.
