AI will not replace financial advisors. But ignore it, and you may get left behind.

For more than 25 years, Panos Leledakis has been rethinking what a financial advisor actually does. In this conversation with Anselm Mendes, he digs into AI, human behaviour, and where advice is heading. He explains why fear shuts the brain down, why most insurance pitches land wrong, and how AI can help advisors earn trust without piling on the pressure. He also talks about the family loss in 2003 that set him on this path.

Stay tuned.

You are covered. Just maybe not for what you think.

Most standard plans in Dubai and Abu Dhabi handle the basics well, meaning inpatient hospitalisation and outpatient treatment. Where people get caught is the add-ons. Dental, optical, and alternative treatments are often left out unless you ask for them.

Check what your plan includes before you need it, not after.

Some of the most expensive retirement mistakes start with a comforting story.

We believe the plan is handled, the model is right, and the money will be there. Believing it means we get to stop thinking about it. Then life moves. A parent needs care. A child settles abroad. Costs climb faster than anyone forecast, and the story stops holding.

A real plan isn't something you finish once and file away. It keeps up with your decisions, your family, and the things nobody saw coming. That's the work we care about at Continental, across borders and across generations. Including the day your son calls to say he's opening a vegan skate park in Ibiza.

Swipe for three myths worth retiring. Then let's have the real conversation.

15 years. It doesn't feel that long with Anish around.

We celebrated his 15th anniversary this week. Fifteen years of taking on the problems nobody else wanted. Hand him the messy one, the one everyone else avoids, and that's the one he picks up. Anyone who's worked with him has seen it.

Anish, thank you for all of it. We're lucky to have you.

Being rich and being financially free are two different things.

We've met people earning high salaries who feel completely insecure. And people on modest incomes who feel calm and in control. The difference isn't the number on the payslip.

Financial freedom isn't about how much you earn. It's about how long you and your family could hold your lifestyle if the income stopped tomorrow.

Measure your freedom in time, not in salary.

How many months could you hold your lifestyle today? Worth knowing the answer.

General information only. Not financial advice. Speak to a licensed advisor before making any decision.

Every business has that one person who keeps things running smoothly.

You've probably seen it up close. A company runs on the instinct of one founder. The bank lends because of their word, long before it reads the spreadsheet. Suppliers ship on trust built over decades. Customers stay because of a name they've known for years. On a normal day, that closeness is the whole strength of the business.

Now picture the Monday after that person is suddenly gone.

The company hasn't lost its value overnight. The contracts and the order book are still there. What starts to move is the confidence around them. The bank wants reassurance. A supplier shortens terms without much explanation. A big customer waits to see what happens next. And a family still in shock learns that a business worth a fortune on paper can run short of cash the very week it needs it most.

This is the risk a balance sheet never shows. The person is gone, and the confidence they carried drains faster than anyone planned for.

Here's the part worth sitting with. You can measure this risk. You can structure for it, fund it, and make sure cash arrives when emotion and pressure are running highest.

That’s what we do at Continental. We help businesses plan for the risks you won’t find on a balance sheet, so the company can keep going even if the person who held it together isn’t there.

Rickson flew from Dubai to New York to launch his book in Times Square. Flights were cancelled. He missed the workshop he had crossed the world for.

Standing in an airport full of stranded travelers, the irony hit him. Taking control is one half of the skill. Surrendering control is the other.

Last Thursday, the line on the 8th floor of Indigo Icon Tower started before we'd finished setting up. 66 people came to give blood, from 30 companies across the building.

This was our second Blood Donation Drive with Dubai Health. 44 people cleared the medical screening and donated. That is 44 units of blood now on their way to people who need them.

Twelve of our colleagues gave up their day to run the floor. They registered donors, walked people from screening to the beds, and packed a thank-you bag by hand for everyone who gave.

Thank you to Dubai Health for handling the medical side with such care, and to every person who showed up. That includes the ones who came ready to give and were told not today. Showing up counts.

You are somebody's type.

This week was a good reminder: markets have a mind of their own.

A softer U.S. jobs report and cooling inflation in Europe mean less worry about central banks hiking rates again.
That mix was enough to keep major equity markets moving up for another week.

Corporate earnings and ongoing investment in AI are still doing their part to keep the momentum going.

So, what’s the takeaway?

Markets care about where the data is heading, not just the numbers themselves.

Stick with your plan. Keep things diversified.

The factory age made one thing for everyone. That era is ending.

Anselm Mendes explains the shift. Now we can make things personal, at scale. For advice, that means a plan shaped around your life, not the average.
