Eid al - Adha, the second most celebrated festival in Islam is rooted in ethos of sacrifice, selflessness, and charity. Muslims across the globe celebrate Eid al-Adha to honor Ibrahim's (A.S.) sacrifice and obedience as he willingly agreed to sacrifice his son Ismail (A.S.) to fulfil the wish of Allah (SWT).
Sacrifice is difficult because it requires courage to put one's need on the back burner and turn the spotlight on someone else. Sacrifice is an essential trait to develop. To build a family, a community or a corporate sacrifice in some measure is required.
While Eid al- Adha epitomizes festivities, delicacies, and celebrations, it also imparts a valuable lesson on inculcating humility that paves the way for a selfless and service-oriented attitude.
As families unite this year to bring in the 'Feast of Sacrifice' we wish you and your loved ones Eid al- Adha Mubarak!
