If your business’s first corporate tax period ended 31 December 2025, the FTA’s late registration penalty waiver closes 31 July 2026. Miss it and that AED 10,000 penalty is permanent, even if you’ve already paid it.

Here’s what qualifies:
📌 Dec 31, 2025 year-end businesses
📌 First corporate tax period filers
📌 Even nil returns count, filing is mandatory either way

And here’s what you keep if you act in time:
✅ AED 10,000 penalty waived
✅ Already paid? It gets credited back automatically

The window is short and there’s no extension coming. If you’re not sure whether this applies to you, send us a DM and we’ll check your status before the clock runs out.

A restaurant owner in Dubai called us three months before his first Corporate Tax filing.
He thought he was ready. His books said otherwise.
Twenty staff, one secretary handling the numbers, and a filing deadline coming fast. So we went on-site and looked at the actual documents, not just the bank balance.
What we found:
📄 Unrecorded supplier invoices in the VAT returns
🚩 Input tax claimed on non-compliant invoices
❓ No monthly P&L, just a bank balance
Over three months we rebuilt the records, corrected the VAT position, and put together his first real monthly P&L.
He called it the first time he actually understood his business. That's the job.
Has your business had a moment like this, where the numbers finally made sense? 👇

Ever paid more to fix cheap work than doing it right would have cost in the first place? 👀
Hiring the cheapest accountant always feels like a win at first. Then the fines show up, the FTA flags something, or the books are too messy to trust. Suddenly "cheap" was the most expensive choice you made all year.
Compliance done right the first time saves you from paying twice.

Real story from our files 👇
A trading company owner called us in month 11 of her first Corporate Tax year. She was sure the books were fine. We asked to come in the next morning, she said yes.
What we found: unfiled fixed asset depreciation, invoices that couldn't hold up under CIT, an undocumented related-party relationship, and VAT exposure sitting untouched in two quarters.
She wasn't careless. She just didn't know what her books weren't telling her.
We fixed it in time. Month 11 was late, but not too late.
Quick question for the business owners here: has anyone actually double-checked your books this year, or are you assuming they're fine? 🤔
If you're in month 8, 9, or 10 of your first CT year, send us a DM and we'll take a look, no pressure, just an honest read.

Your CIT return is due 30 September ⏳
Three months sounds like plenty of time... until it isn't. Between closing the books, running the business, and everything else on your plate, that runway shrinks fast.
Here's what "ready" actually means:
✅ Books reconciled to year-end
✅ Exemptions and adjustments documented (QFZP, exempt income, Cabinet Decision items)
✅ Related party transactions backed by paperwork
Most SMEs we talk to are missing at least one of these. The good news? All fixable — if you start now.

Clean books and useful books are not the same thing.
Most business owners in the UAE think they are. Your accountant hands you a tidy P&L, everything reconciles, the audit goes smoothly... and you still don't know what to do next quarter.
That's the gap. A clean ledger tells you what already happened. A useful one tells you what's coming, where your margin is slipping, and where cash is about to get tight.
Here's a real test: does your accountant tell you what to do next, or just what happened last quarter? 🤔
Drop your answer in the comments. We'd genuinely like to know.
DM REVIEW and we'll show you the difference between the two.

The eInvoicing pilot opens today. 🗓️

Mandatory rollout starts January 2027 for larger businesses, July 2027 for everyone else. That sounds far off, until you realize what "ready" actually means: structured XML invoices, an accredited service provider connected to your system, and clean master data across every customer and supplier record. PDFs won't cut it anymore.
Most accounting setups we look at right now aren't built for that. Not because the business is behind, just because nobody's mapped it out yet.
Here are the 5 things to check before the deadline creeps up on you 👇
Save this post for your accounting setup review. And if you want a second pair of eyes on where your system actually stands, send us a DM.

Every client who calls us after an FTA notice says the same thing.

"I thought the books were fine."

It's never one big mistake. It's a missed reconciliation here, a late entry there, a "we'll fix it next quarter" that quietly becomes six quarters.

By the time the notice lands, what would've been a 20-minute fix is now a real problem with real penalties attached.

The accountants who catch this early aren't smarter. They're just looking before there's a reason to look.

If you're not sure what your books would say about you right now, send us a DM with REVIEW and we'll tell you the first three things we'd check. No pressure, just a clear answer. 📋

He thought cutting his accounting costs was a smart move. 📉
For a year, a part-time secretary handled the books between answering phones. The bank balance looked fine, so he assumed the business was fine too.
Then his VAT filing got flagged. No supporting documents. No real P&L. No one who could explain the numbers if asked. Two years of risk had quietly built up without him knowing.
We came in on-site, went through every source document by hand, and ran each return through an accounting review and a separate tax review before anything was filed. He finally got proper monthly reports and could see what was actually making money, and what wasn't.
Cheap accounting doesn't save you money. It just delays the bill. 💸
Have you ever found out the hard way that "saving money" on the books cost you more in the end? Tell us in the comments, or send us a DM if you want a no-pressure look at where your filings actually stand.

Still invoicing through PDF? That's about to be a problem.

The FTA is rolling out mandatory e-invoicing starting 2026 — and most UAE businesses have no idea what's actually changing.

Here's the short version: PDFs, scanned invoices, even Word docs won't count anymore. Once you're in scope, invoices have to be issued as structured data through an FTA-accredited provider, with details going to the tax authority in near real time.

Bigger businesses are first in line, but the rollout reaches everyone in phases through 2027 — so "I'll deal with it later" isn't really a strategy anymore.

If you don't know which phase you fall into, that's exactly where we'd start.

👉 Drop a comment or DM us "e-invoice" and we'll walk you through it.
