 Tax losses can be carried forward indefinitely.

 Yearly offset limited to 75% of taxable income in future periods.

 Losses incurred before Corporate Tax or related to exempt income cannot be carried forward/utilized.

 Losses may be restricted after a change of more than 50% ownership if the business activity itself changes.

 Tax losses can be transferred between qualifying UAE group companies, subject to specific conditions.

 Businesses claiming Small Business Relief is not eligible for Tax Loss relief.

UAE CORPORATE TAX - Extension of Small Business Relief

Great news for UAE SME sector!!

The UAE Ministry of Finance has extended Small Business Relief (SBR) under Ministerial Decision No. 131 of 2026 until tax periods ending on or before 31 December 2029.

Key Highlights of SBR:
✅ Eligibility: Revenue up to AED 3 Million in a tax period
✅ Eligible businesses can benefit from Zero Tax on profits
✅ Simplified Corporate Tax return filing

This relief has now been extended for another 3 years upto 31 December 2029
