UAE E-Invoicing Rules Eased!

Ministerial Decision No. 197 of 2026 introduces four key changes:

• 24-month relief for transactions within VAT tax groups (2027–2028).
• E-invoice records can now be stored outside the UAE.
• E-invoice issuance deadline extended from 14 calendar days to 14 business days, subject to applicable VAT deadlines.
• Two-business-day system failure notification requirement removed.

Important: E-invoicing rollout deadlines remain unchanged.
