Four weeks in Europe… Tom has officially left the building .

Tom has just completed his first full end of financial year as a Financial Adviser, and yes… he survived.

His own clients, spreadsheets, meetings, planning, the coffee supply, the EOFY rush. He made it through.

Tom brings so much energy, enthusiasm and fresh thinking into our office every day. We love having the next generation coming through, learning, asking great questions and helping our clients plan for their own futures.

Now it is time for Tom to make some memories of his own with his beautiful family.

Enjoy every minute exploring Europe with your family, Tom. A well earned break after a massive year.

The office will be quieter without you.
Your chair will be waiting, the coffee machine will be ready… and we promise to keep Connor in check whilst you’re away.

EOFY finished and most sensible people probably went home grabbed a beer, kicked their shoes off, and let their brains slowly powered down from the chaos of the past few months

Not us.

David and I flew to Perth on -
-Tuesday night, -Wednesday lunch with the Managing Director of WT Financial Group, -Wednesday night dinner with clients.
-Thursday up early for our professional
development day
-Thursday night MJ The Michael Jackson Musical, It was amazing .
Friday 6 am,golf meeting with the state manager
Then, because the week had clearly not been full enough, we got in the car and drove almost 600 kilometres to Kalbarri National Park.

Today back in Adelaide ready to start again.

EOFY is done.

Yesterday began with client and legal meetings and final tasks from a busy financial year.

At 12.30 pm, we downed tools because our team deserved a moment of thanks.

We shared lunch to celebrate a job well done and recognise the people who keep this business moving every single day.

David leads The Money Matrix Advice, but we could not do what we do without the team around us.

The calls.
The meetings.
The client care.
The follow ups.
The unseen details.

Our team is the backbone of this business, and we are grateful for everyone who helps us care for our clients and their families.

As a thank you, our team will be having a full day off on Monday 6 July 2026 on us.

Because of this please note our office will be closed so they can enjoy a well earned long weekend and take a proper breath after a full EOFY season.

Saturday has arrived.

EOFY did not get the memo.

The inbox is full. The coffee machine is earning its keep. The printer is running, files are moving, and every number is being checked, checked again, and then checked once more for good measure.

Behind every meeting is a highly organised team, a detailed process and a great deal of careful thinking.

Our tax lawyers often say David has a mind that can turn a complex problem over from every angle. He sees the structures, risks and possibilities others may miss, and he makes time to attend as many meetings with accountants as he can for our small business and agricultural clients.

For David and I, it means closing the office door.
For others, it means checking the weather, finishing seeding, paying wages, cleaning the equipment or just being relieved that you don’t have to make kids lunches on Saturday.
