Perks recently hosted the Helpmann Business Essentials Workshop on our office rooftop, bringing together emerging artists for an afternoon focused on the fundamentals behind sustainable careers.

Through practical insights and open conversations, Perks Team Members shared business essentials that support creative success, from structure to strategy. Just as importantly, the session created space for meaningful conversations between Perks mentors and mentees. We had the opportunity to network, share experiences and start building relationships. The connection continues well beyond the workshop, with our mentors stepping in to support and guide these artists as part of their ongoing journey.

We’re looking forward to supporting what comes next in our mentees’ careers.

To get behind this important initiative, our Social Responsibility Committee hosted a morning tea to bring Team Members together over pink fun buns for a great cause. This is part of what shapes Perks culture - showing up for our community and backing initiatives that make a real difference.

This campaign helps raise vital funds to support Australians affected by breast cancer through trusted resources, advocacy and community connection.

Simon Wotherspoon, Head of Perks Private Wealth, and Rory Logan, Senior Manager Operations, Perks Private Wealth, recently represented Perks at the 2026 Principals’ Community Forum on the Gold Coast.

It was an exceptionally well-run and thought-provoking event that brought together like-minded advisers and business leaders from across the country to share ideas, challenge thinking and focus on what’s next for advice businesses. From leadership and innovation through to navigating change and driving sustainable growth, the insights were both practical and forward-focused.

Taking time to step away from the day-to-day and connect with peers facing similar challenges and opportunities is always valuable. Just as important was the chance to support the incredible work of St John Ambulance Australia in the process.
