π° PAY RISES ARE COMING FROM 1 JULY 2026
β
The Fair Work Commission has announced a 4.75% increase to minimum Award wages, effective from the first full pay period on or after 1 July 2026.
β
The National Minimum Wage will increase from $24.95 per hour to $26.44 per hour for full time and part time employees. Casual staff will receive an additional 25% on the minimum hourly rate.
β
Approximately 2.8 million Australian workers will be impacted by the change.
β
For small business owners, it means it's time to review:
β Employee pay rates
β Award classifications
β Payroll settings
β Profit margins
β Pricing and profitability

Many businesses are already navigating increased costs across wages, superannuation, insurance, utilities and suppliers. While supporting staff remains important, ensuring your business remains profitable is equally critical.
