📢 Employers! Payday Super has arrived.
Have you processed your first payroll for the new financial year yet? If so, now is the perfect time to check you’re on track with the new Payday Super requirements.
Taking the time to get everything set up correctly now can help you stay compliant and avoid issues down the track.
If you’re unsure what these changes mean for your business, or you’d like us to review your payroll setup, the team at STA Solutions is here to help.
Payday Super is right around the corner!
From 1 July 2026, your employer needs to pay super contributions at the same time they pay your salary or wages, so the contributions reach your nominated account within 7 business days.
There are some exceptions. For example, the first super contribution for a new employee will need to be made within 20 business days of their salary or wages being paid.
The Australian Tax Office is responsible for implementing the new rules and is the best source of info about the changes. Keep up to date on their website: https://www.ato.gov.au/businesses-and-organisations/super-for-employers/payday-super
