The Government today made further changes to the proposed 30% tax on trusts. They have introduced new measures that potentially allow businesses to avoid the new tax. This may not be the last change to the proposed tax. Watch this space.

Those with discretionary trusts can be exempt from the new minimum 30 per cent tax if they agree to hold their trust distributions constant.
