A newsletter has gone out this afternoon, reminding businesses that the National minimum wage as well as compulsory superannuation rates are changing from 1 July. Most cloud accounting systems will update for the superannuation rate, but a manual review of the hourly rates will be necessary for businesses with staff on award rates.

19 days... just 19 days it took for Quickbooks to email advisors pushing their special pricing after Xero had announced an increase in prices, to then get this email saying they are pushing their prices up as well!

Not pushing either software, just made me laugh as the recently announced increase in Xero pricing did stir a few client conversations over the last couple of weeks. And each time it was always a case of well, QB will put their prices up soon enough anyway. I just didn't realise it would be this quick!
