No, it’s not time to lodge yet 🛑

There’s no need to rush… the best time to lodge your return is late-July.

By then, we’ll have data from your employer, banks, & health funds. We drop this info into your tax return to help you get it right the first time.

By late-July, data will have been pre-filled, & your income statement will be marked as ‘tax ready’. When this happens, you’ve got the green light to lodge 🚦

New criminal underpayment laws have started

From 1 January 2025, intentional underpayment of wages or entitlements can be a criminal offence.

Fair Work can investigate suspected criminal underpayment offences and refer suitable matters for criminal prosecution. If a person is convicted of a criminal offence, a court can impose fines, prison time, or both.
