Another QROPS SMSF approved! 🎉

Due to the recent changes to UK inheritance tax rules, we have received a significant increase in enquiries from clients looking to establish QROPS SMSFs.

At the same time, HMRC processing times have slowed considerably — from around 4 days previously to approximately 6-8 weeks now.

If you are considering setting up a QROPS SMSF, we recommend starting the process early to allow for the longer HMRC processing time.

📩 If you would like to discuss whether a QROPS SMSF may be suitable for your circumstances, please contact us.

The ATO has clarified that SMSF establishment costs can be paid personally and reimbursed by the SMSF.

iCare Super has allowed this since 2012! We also published our understanding of the deductibility of establishment costs back in 2013.

Great assurance — and another example of our long-standing research, experience and understanding of the SMSF setup process and costs.
