It’s a pleasure to welcome the Walker Wayland Australasia Board to our new Brisbane City office today for their Board meeting, led by our Managing Partner and WWA Chairperson, Jason Croston.

They’ve travelled from across Australia and New Zealand, and it’s great to have them here for the day.

Today we’re celebrating an incredible milestone for our Audit Partner, Navin Prasad, who has reached 20 years with SRJ Walker Wayland.

Navin joined the firm in 2006 as an Intermediate Auditor and has since progressed to become a Partner and a key part of our Audit team. His technical expertise, dedication to our clients and commitment to supporting and developing those around him have made a lasting impact across the firm.

We're excited to announce the opening of our new Brisbane CBD office, located on the top floor of 307 Queen Street on level 25.

The Moreton Bay region remains our spiritual home. As one of Australia’s fastest growing areas, it’s full of growing businesses and a rapidly expanding population. Thanks to the ongoing support of our loyal clients and the referrals they continue to send our way, we’re seeing more opportunities across Brisbane. Our new city space gives us a more central base and room to accommodate the needs of our growing firm.

On Friday afternoon, our team enjoyed a well-earned EOFY celebration at Madame Wu to mark the successful completion of another financial year.

It was a fantastic opportunity to step away from our desks, catch up with colleagues from across the firm and enjoy some incredible modern Asian fusion cuisine. Moments like these are a great reminder that while we work hard throughout the year, taking the time to celebrate our people is just as important.

We’ve recently seen an increase in official-looking correspondence relating to ASIC annual reviews and business name renewals.

Some notices are issued by third-party providers and may request payment for services already managed by your accountant or ASIC registered agent.

As scams, phishing attempts and misleading payment requests continue to rise, it’s important to confirm legitimacy before making payment, sharing information or taking action.
