A great first step into life at Vincents.

This week, we welcomed a group of talented university students to our inaugural STEP Inside Vincents event, giving them an authentic insight into our people, culture and the career opportunities available at Vincents.

Students had the opportunity to connect with our team, hear from current and former graduates, explore career pathways across our business and learn more about our STEP Graduate Program.

Last week, Shannon Walker and Carissa Lacey from our Forensic Commercial team attended the ACT Law Society's 2026 Family Law Conference in Canberra.

The full-day conference brought together leading family law practitioners and judicial figures from across the ACT, covering key developments in case law, court processes, property matters and ethical decision-making.

It was a great opportunity to connect with the family law community and contribute to a day of valuable learning and professional development.

Thank you to the ACT Law Society's Family Law Committee for hosting another excellent event. It was a privilege to continue our support of the conference.

Last Friday, our Restructuring & Recovery team attended the Australian Institute of Credit Management - AICM Queensland Women in Credit Luncheon at Rivershed and Deck. They were joined by professionals from across the credit industry for an afternoon of connection and inspiration.

This year's event, themed Balance and Bloom, featured a keynote from Ruth Kent of Sunrise Well, who shared practical insights on wellbeing and mindfulness that resonated across the room.

Alister Yee has been promoted to Director in our Restructuring & Recovery team.

After eight years with Vincents, Alister’s promotion recognises his contribution to the firm and the leadership, technical expertise and commercial judgement he brings to his work.

His promotion follows another significant career milestone for Alister, having recently become a Registered Liquidator, reflecting his depth of experience and capability in restructuring and insolvency.

We’re pleased to announce that Phil Ringuet and Vincents Lending Solutions have been recognised as Excellence Awardees at the Australian Mortgage Awards 2026.

Phil has been named an Excellence Awardee in the Broker of the Year – Commercial category, while Vincents Lending Solutions has been recognised in the Brokerage of the Year – Diversification category.

These recognitions reflect the expertise, dedication and impact that Phil and the brokerage team continue to deliver for their clients.

Earlier this month, Dan Ahangama, Kristal Hou and Theo Samios from our Restructuring & Recovery team joined QUTASA's Christmas in July Lawn Bowls evening at New Farm Bowls Club.

It was a great evening getting to know QUTASA's newest members, swapping stories across the green and bridging the gap between the classroom and a career in accounting.

Congratulations to Matthew Hammelmann, Senior Accountant at Vincents, on achieving an extraordinary milestone in Queensland football history.

Matthew recently became just the eighth player to kick 500 QAFL career goals, cementing his place among the competition's all-time greats. A remarkable achievement that reflects years of dedication, consistency and excellence both on and off the field.

We're proud to celebrate this outstanding accomplishment with you, Matthew.

The Sharks' forward has kicked 500 career QAFL goals and looks set to reach 100 this season.

Leadership is not a destination, it's a commitment to continuous improvement.

On Friday, leaders from across the Vincents business came together for our latest Leadership Workshop, reflecting on the achievements of FY26 and looking ahead to the opportunities and impact that FY27 will bring.

We were privileged to be joined by Ryan Tuckwood from SWISH Sales Coaching, whose engaging session challenged us to think differently about the psychology, process and ex*****on of effective communication. From embracing transparency and understanding the different mindsets that drive change, to remembering that knowledge is only potential power, action is power, the session provided valuable insights into how we better connect with and support our clients. As leaders, we have a responsibility to be clear, authentic, transparent and, importantly, not forget to be playful along the way.
