TPAR stands for taxable payments annual report.

Put simply, this is an industry-specific report for businesses that need to report the total payments they’ve made to contractors for the following services:
> Building and construction
> Cleaning
> Courier or road freight
> Information technology (IT)
> Security, investigation or surveillance.
Businesses that provide the above services and pay contractors to deliver them on their behalf, may be required to report payments made to contractors by lodging a TPAR by 28 August every year.

Contractors can include subcontractors, consultants and independent contractors. They can operate as sole traders (individuals), companies, partnerships or trusts.

Heads up everyone in manufacturing:
Workplace Health and Safety Queensland is hitting the road for a compliance blitz from April to June 2026.

They’re focusing on moving plant (think forklifts, telehandlers, and pallet jacks) and traffic management, since these are still causing way too many serious accidents on site. Inspectors will be dropping by workplaces to check out your safety setups and make sure your Health and Safety Reps are actually involved in the conversation.

The Bottom Line:
* Don't get caught out: They can hand out fines or compliance notices if things aren't up to scratch.
* Get ready: Use their free tools and the IPaM advisory service to double-check your gear and workflows now. (details below)
* Safety first: The goal is just to make sure everyone gets home in one piece at the end of the shift.
