πŸ“… EOFY Payroll Reminder – Is Your STP Finalisation Ready?

The end of the financial year doesn't stop at processing the last pay run.

For most employers, you must submit your Single Touch Payroll (STP) Finalisation Declaration by 14 July 2026.

This important step tells the ATO that your payroll reporting for the financial year is complete and allows your employees to access their tax-ready income statements to lodge their tax returns.

βœ… Finalise payroll through STP
βœ… Meet your ATO obligations
βœ… Ensure employees can lodge their tax returns without delays
βœ… Avoid last-minute stress and compliance issues

Not sure if your payroll is ready for finalisation?

The team at Calculating Women Bookkeeping Services can help make sure everything is accurate, compliant, and lodged on time.

🚨 Attention small business owners who pay employee super!

The ATO's free super tool β€” the Small Business Superannuation Clearing House (SBSCH) β€” is closing on 30 June 2026.

If you've been using it to process your quarterly super, you need to find an alternative before it shuts down. And here's the kicker β€” it stopped accepting new registrations back in October 2025, so you can't even onboard a mate onto it now. πŸ˜…

Oh, and did we mention Payday Super starts 1 July? That's the same day. So if you haven't switched platforms yet, you'll hit that deadline with no way to pay super. Bit of a problem. 😬

πŸ‘‰ What you need to do:
β†’ Choose a compliant super clearing house (your payroll software likely has one built in)
β†’ Migrate before 30 June
β†’ Make sure it's set up for Payday Super's 7-day payment window

Not sure where to start? That's what we're here for. Drop us a message β€” we help small business owners sort this stuff out so you don't have to Google it at midnight. πŸ’ͺ
