10 years.
Today marks 10 years since I took the biggest leap of my life and started my business.
It certainly wasn't part of the plan and at the time
I was made redundant after having my daughter, and at the time it felt like one of the hardest moments of my career. Looking back now, it was probably the greatest gift I could have received. It forced me to back myself, take a risk, and build something I could never have imagined.
The last decade has been full of incredible highs, heartbreaking lows, successes, failures, wins, setbacks, laughter, tears, and one enormous learning curve. Running a business has taught me more life lessons then I could ever imagine
There have been times I genuinely wanted to throw it all in. The pressure of running a business, employing people, making payroll, navigating challenges and carrying the weight of every decision can be overwhelming. There have been plenty of sleepless nights and moments where I questioned whether I could keep going.
But then there have been the moments that reminded me exactly why I started.
The amazing clients who trusted us. The businesses we've helped grow. The friendships we've built. The lessons we've learned. The problems we've solved. The lives we've been fortunate enough to impact.
What I'm most proud of isn't the business itself.. it's the people.
Over the years I've been incredibly fortunate to work alongside some amazing staff who have become so much more than employees. They've become friends, a support network and, in many ways, family. They are the foundation that keeps the wheels turning every single day, and I couldn't have reached this milestone without them.
To everyone who has supported Completely Taylored over the past 10 years...our clients, staff, family, friends and everyone who has believed in us and me...thank you. Your support has meant more than you'll ever know.
Ten years is a milestone I'm incredibly proud of. It's been built on hard work, sacrifice, resilience and a refusal to give up, even when things became incredibly tough.... the things I have learnt personally and suffered could be an amazing trilogy.
Many people think running a business gives you excessive amounts of money and freedom... what I have learnt is this generalisation is so wrong. Running a business is the hardest challenge anyone could ever undertake. You don't get to leave the office and clock off at 5pm, your weekends aren't your own, your children suffer, your mind is full of noise and lists are constant full of all the things you have yet to do. There is no one to look up too, no one to share the decisions, support the highs or the lows. It can be a lonely path.. but when everything is humming its truly magic!!
Here's to the next chapter and whatever adventures it brings.
Happy 10th Birthday, Completely Taylored.
To myself I sit here tonight and cannot believe it has been 10 years, the journey has been a road I have navigated, believed in and given my all too. I hope one day my children will see the sacrifices and feel proud that I have built something in their honour especially my daughter Taylor..You were the first reason and now you Taylor, Duke and Xander remain my motivation always ❤️🎉
