Yesterday, Sarah our bookkeeping team leader, travelled to Sydney to attend the ShiftCare Connect conference.

Shiftcare is an app that is widely used in the NDIS National Disability Insurance Scheme space, of which we have several clients.

Sarah had a very insightful day learning how to better utilise Shiftcare, so that we can assist our clients to improve, participant outcomes, staff well being and of course profits.

Sarah looks forward to further developing her relationship with ShiftCare so that our firm can become a trusted advisor in this space.

A reminder that if you lodge your quarterly BAS yourself, the due date for lodgment and payment is tomorrow!

23/10/2024

If you have employees, the September 2024 quarter Superannuation Contribution is due to be lodged AND paid by the 28th October 2024.

We advise lodging a few days prior to this date to ensure that the payments reach the employees superannaution accounts by the due date.

If this is not lodged AND paid on time (even if 1 day late) you are required to lodge a superannuation guarantee charge statement with the ATO.

What is a SGCS I hear you ask?
It includes: the shortfall amount (the contributions not paid or paid late), interest of 10% per annum, and an administration fee.

The tax time deadline isn’t just for individual taxpayers.

If you’re a small business owner, make sure you lodge or team up with a tax agent by 31 October. If you carried on a business, you need to lodge, even if you made a loss.

If you are not registered with a tax agent by this date, the lodgment extension no longer applies and you may incur a late lodgement fee.

The lodgement and payment due date for the September 2024 quarter BAS, if you lodge yourself is the 28th October 2024.

If you lodge through us you have until the 28th November 2024 to lodge and pay.
