The AFSA Retirement Standards Report has been released for 2021 and shows average living expenses for a modest and comfortable retirement. The report has a breakdown of every living expense and assumes the retiree owns their own home.

Couple (65 - 85 years old) - Modest Lifestyle = $41,170 pa
Couple (65 - 85 years old) - Comfortable Lifestyle = $63,352 pa

Single (65 - 85 years old) - Modest Lifestyle = $28,514 pa
Single (65 - 85 years old) - Comfortable Lifestyle = $44,818 pa

For example:
Groceries of $95.18 a week for a single with a modest lifestyle
Groceries of $213.90 a week for a couple with a comfortable lifestyle

If you know of anyone invested in Host Plus Super or Christian Super please put them in touch for a free review of their Super Fund.

Anyone invested in the default investment option at Host Plus is paying $78 a year + 1.10% of their balance while anyone invested in the default investment option at Christian Super is paying $65 a year + 1.09% of their balance in fees.

Clients invested in these Super Funds who have let their employer / the fund choose where their money is invested are paying too much! In fact I would suggest it's AT LEAST 25% more expensive than some of the other alternatives which is costing members hundreds of dollars each year.

Did you know that while 88.3% of all bitcoin have been mined already it will still take 119 years to mine the other 11.7%

It's likely that no adult on the earth today will be alive when the last bitcoin is mined yet promoters of the crytocurrency often use it's scarcity to encourage people to buy it.

While there may no longer be any any more bitcoin to mine in 119 years time what about the other 4000 crypto's of which most have no limit on?
