We were delighted to have one of our own, Richmond, alongside Kristen on the Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand table at the Charles Sturt University Bathurst Open Day on Sunday, 23 August. 🎓

Quarter 4 BAS is due 28 July. That’s 14 days away.

If your books aren’t reconciled yet – this is the week to sort it.

Late or incorrect BAS lodgements attract ATO penalties and missed GST credits mean you’re paying more that you should.

The SWM team handles it all:

✅ Identify every GST credit you’re entitled to
✅ Lodge accurately and on time
If you lodge through a tax agent, you have until the 25 August.

📢 Our Annual 2026 Newsletter is on its way!

Keep an eye on your inbox and mailbox - our Annual 2026 Newsletter will be arriving shortly, either by email or post.

As we approach tax time, we'd like to remind our clients that the ATO does not begin processing 2026 Income Tax Returns until mid-July. In addition, employers have until 14 July 2026 to finalise and report employee wage information to the ATO through Single Touch Payroll.

To ensure your income information is complete and accurate, we are unable to lodge most 2026 Income Tax Returns until mid-July, once employer reporting has been finalised and the information is available through the ATO.

In the meantime, now is the perfect time to start gathering your tax records and supporting documents, including:
✅ Work-related expense receipts
✅ Donation receipts
✅ Investment and rental property records
✅ Private health insurance statements
✅ Other relevant tax documentation

Getting organised early will help us process your tax return as efficiently as possible once lodgements commence.
