I’m probably the worst person to come to if your entire financial strategy is how do I pay the least amount of tax possible we tax plan, claim everything you’re entitled to and structure things efficiently
but I’m far more interested in what happens before and after the tax bill
I remember handing a client a $30K BAS bill last year (not to be confused with company taxes just a good example) and watching them feel physically sick over it because at the time $30K felt enormous now they pay $80K BAS bills + monthly IAS with almost no emotional response because the business grew but so did their capacity to hold the numbers that came with it honestly people don’t talk about enough when they say they want a million dollar business the revenue gets bigger but so do the wages the GST the PAYG the super the income tax and the decisions you’re responsible for making
you have to become comfortable seeing big numbers leave your bank account without automatically believing something has gone wrong
Anyway I don’t think the flex is a tiny tax bill it’s an accurate one and THE GOAL is a highly profitable business with the cash sitting there ready to pay it without flinching
