they’re 4 beautiful examples of exactly the sort of people you want in your business (& as friends, because they’re just dang FUN).

we back our team for the long haul, whether they’re in our office or remote... you NEVER regret investing in your team’s future.

accountants in Australia are VERY hard to find (tell your kids if they want a job, accounting is actually a great industry with a stack of options! don’t discount us!) and there are brilliant people ready to go in the Philippines.

you don’t have to bow to the pressure to discount. Christmas is when every dollar of margin counts.

a 40% margin on a $100 sale leaves you $40. take 30% off and it leaves you $10. that’s four sales to match one.

booking the Christmas party? save this before you pay the deposit 🎄

here’s the tax stuff you’ll want to be across:
✓ under $300 per person: generally no FBT, and no tax deduction
✓ over $300 per person: FBT applies, and the cost is tax deductible
✓ gift cards, hampers and w**e for your team: tax deductible
✓ movie, theatre or footy tickets: count as entertainment, so they’re treated differently
✓ client gifts: tax deductible, as long as the client isn’t also on your payroll

we can thank the RBA for banning card surcharges from 1 October.

it seems like a good idea. it kind of is. no hidden cost at the checkout.

but business owners are still paying the fee every time you tap. so the easiest fix is to build it into the price.

your local restaurant, cafe, friendly barista? they’re just trying to serve you the best damn coffee you’ve ever had…

they’re trying to make ends meet, like the rest of us.

we see the numbers every day.
your local business owner is not taking advantage of you.

stick with them. we don’t want to lose our local restaurants.

we love eating, and I don’t want to go back to Starbucks, ever.
