Congratulations to three of our Tribeca Tribe who recently ran the Marathon 🏅

Tori ran to show her son Harv that his mum can do hard things. “Perseverance and discipline are caught, not taught.”

Rob finally got his first marathon done after getting sick in race week last year.

Dan ran out of steam at 25km, then got through it one drink station at a time. As he puts it, “It doesn’t matter how many marathons I’ve run, 42km is still a long way.”

What an achievement, Tori, Rob and Dan.

Congratulations to three of our Tribeca Tribe who recently ran the Nike Melbourne Marathon Fest 🏅

Tori Coils ran to show her son Harv that his mum can do hard things. “Perseverance and discipline are caught, not taught.”

Robert Devlin finally got his first marathon done after getting sick in race week last year.

Daniel Nel ran out of steam at 25km, then got through it one drink station at a time. As he puts it, “It doesn’t matter how many marathons I’ve run, 42km is still a long way.”

What an achievement, Tori, Rob and Dan. It’s inspiring to see what you can do (and Tori, we see you signing up for the next one).

Money is rarely just one person’s. It moves through a family in habits, values, stories and, eventually, capital. You’ll likely hear that referred to as “intergenerational wealth transfer”, but that suggests something that happens later. We think it’s a conversation for now.

That’s the idea behind Connected Wealth Conversations, a new series from Tribeca.

Leading it is Evan Lucas, economic futurist, media presenter and author, who brings strong, data-led views on how families can approach money together.

In each episode he sits down with our CEO Ryan Watson to talk about bringing mulitple generations into the conversation. He'll use data, real examples and speak in plain English.

Recently at Her Wealth Her Way in Sydney, our Senior Adviser Rachael Holder joined Jess Leung, Jessie Swindon and Nick Nicolaides on the Expert Shares Panel to talk about investing in plain English.

They talked about where to start with $5,000 that’s been sitting in an account or offset account for two years. There’s intent to take the next step, but for some it’s frightening and they’re worried about making a wrong decision.

Rachael spoke from the perspective of a financial adviser, and her psychology background added an important layer to the panel, because how we feel about money often shapes what we do with it.

It was great to see so many women in the room asking questions and wanting to understand their money better. Thanks to Melissa Browne and the team for bringing together more than 1,000 women under one roof to hear Rach speak, and so much more.

If you’d like to talk with Rachael about your own situation, you can find out more at tribecafinancial.com.au.

Owning a home and running a business come with a lot of financial responsibility. So what happens if you become unwell and can’t work?

For our client, Rick Foster, it’s the “sleep at night factor” that helped get him through.

In the latest episode of Money and a Good Life, Rick talks about how having his financial advisers to lean on, and personal risk insurance to draw on, gave him peace of mind and a sense of financial security when he became unwell and was unable to work. It helped him manage the financial responsibility of his home and his business, while he focused on getting better.

What an event! Tribeca was grateful to be a supporter of Melbrowne.'s Her Wealth, Her Way event recently held in Sydney.

Hosting more than 1000 women at City Recital Hall, Sydney, Mel, guest speakers, panellists, specialists and a contingent of Tribeca’s tribe attended all with the aim to educate about money and finance.

Pete, Rach and Amac spent the day chatting with women about what they want their money to do for them.

A big thank you to Mel Browne and her team for creating such a warm, welcoming event. Thank you also to Clare and everyone behind the scenes for having Tribeca along.

What does a Good Life mean to you?

For long-time Tribeca client Rick Foster, it's balance, knowing what works for him, and doing things with purpose.

On the latest episode of Money & a Good Life, Rick joins Ryan Watson and Rachael Holder to talk about how income protection, total and permanent disability (TPD) and key person insurance supported him, his family and his business while he focused on his health. He also shares why it mattered to have advisers advocating for him through the claims process.

It's Mental Health Month, and Rick's story is a timely reminder that looking after yourself and looking after your finances can go hand in hand.
