A change is coming that will reshape how you pay your team’s super.
From 1 July 2026, super will need to be paid at the same time as wages, not quarterly. Every pay run, every cycle, super goes in alongside the rest.
The timing matters. The ATO can charge penalties and interest if super lands late, and most current payroll processes will need a closer look before July.
A few practical things to think about now:
• Check how you currently pay super, whether that’s through payroll software, a clearing house, or manually.
• Speak with your payroll provider to confirm they’re ready for the change. Most of the major ones already are.
• Finalise your June quarter super by 28 July 2026. This is the last quarterly payment, and it’s an important one to get right.
There’s still time to prepare. No rush, just a quiet heads-up so you can step into July with clarity, confidence and control.
