Hi all, cold morning!! I didn't want to get out of bed, let alone go to work, but I did, so I proved You wrong.

The Boss was talking to me about the Government removing the tax offset Called LAMITO. Bad news for most folks refunds, he reckons. Also some changes to work from home rules. That doesn't affect me, as if I'm to work from home, It would cut into my gaming time.

Anyway give him a call if you're not Sure about the work from home or the LAMITO thingy. Love to talk more but it's knock off time.

Hi all

Here at 1TAX we are getting ready for Christmas break. The boss is going to use the time doing professional development studying tax legislation. He asked me if I wanted to read the notes after he had done with them. I thought about it. For approximately two seconds 😂

Myself, I will have my plate full, watching the birds. fly by, and then during night times doing some serious goming. Maybe an all-nighter or two.

Whatever your hobbies, your preferences, embrace whatever you love with a passion, make it a Merry Christmas.

I think it's a bit long. Also I think it would be more interesting as video, with some neat graphics and editing. Reading is too boring :)

The boss said that was a good idea, and asked me if I wanted to be the on-screen presenter..

But I said no.

45 Downstairs! Sounds like such a cool place!! Quiet evening or somewhere for a catch up with friends. Not So! not cool at all (unless you love tax stuff). It's just the place where I work now. See 1TAX has changed address to a house at 45 Anzac Avenue Hurstbridge, and the office is down the Stairs..

As an employee I get better facilities with tea and coffee but actually I just drink Coke or Red Bull.

Anyway things seem quite busy with Tax time underway.

The Boss wants me to mention that if you need help with Tax or business matters to give him a call or email. So now I've done it.

We are closing fast on the last day to lodge 2021 TAX RETURNS so things are hotting up with appointments. Meanwhile the ATO have been making some waves with some statements about discretionary trust.

The boss is spending a lot of time talking to clients about that issue.

On a nicer topic 1TAX have announced a sponsorship with the Hurstbridge junior football club. "Go Bridges"

On the gaming scene, I have switched over to PUGB. An oldie but a goodie. My water-cooled PC runs so warm I needed to switch to a lighter dooner

Hello again,
It’s an important night for all Australians. It affects all of us. I like to watch the coverage on the ABC. Unfortunately, I couldn’t watch it. For the second year in a row, it clashed with MAFS. They should sort that out.
One tax announcement that means something for me personally is the retention of the LMITO for another year. That’s the one that makes a big difference to many of us when lodging our Tax Returns. The offset is available to many but is not built into the pay as you go schedules, so it just appears as a sort of bonus at Tax time!
In 2021 I used my LMITO-enhanced refund to get a high-performance gaming monitor. You really can’t be competitive without one (or more!) of those.
I’m sure the LMITO wont last forever, but I am enjoying it while it lasts.

Hi again. Been having a good time fixing at the repair café at the Hub in Hurstbridge. What a good ideathyat is. Lots of folk looking to fix rather than replace. Exellent.

Interesting to read the ATO’s planned crackdown on family trust distributions to audit beneficiaries. That will have a big change for many people, and we are spending time here at 1TAX explaining the proposed changes to our clients at the moment.

Anyway, I might see you at the next repair café!

Hi all,

It's Kevin here. I've taken over from Evie who is enjoying a working holiday interstate.

The ATO has welcomed in the new year with a firmer, more persistent approach to taxpayers with tax debts.

If you need a hand with payment arrangements or with any other tax matters you can give us a call!

I usually start work around 10am as I'm up half the night playing CSGO and if you don't know what that is, it's better that way.

Hi Everyone,

We are open and taking in office appointments! We just ask that you wear a mask if coming in and check in using our barcode at the door. Zoom appointments and phone calls are also available.
if you have not already done your 2020 Tax return, this is a final reminder to call up and book an appointment as tomorrow is the last day to lodge for many tax payers!

Hopefully everyone stayed safe and well during the lockdown,
i know i can't wait to get back to playing team sports again!
