Hi Everyone,

We're excited to share that my partner Claire, daughter Pippa and I are opening a new café business at 5 Hasluck Street (in the shopping centre development next to BP) called Pip & Co Cowaramup in early August.

We're excited to bring another quality café option to Cowaramup, with a focus on grab-and-go meals, healthy salads and protein options, gourmet toasties, sandwiches, barista coffee and smoothies.

We'll also be offering ready-made meals for busy locals and families looking for convenient, quality food.

We’ll be sharing some menu items and updates throughout July as we work towards our planned early August opening.

Our aim is to be open Tuesday to Sunday, 6:30am–3:00pm.

We will also be advertising shortly for a:

• Full-Time Barista / Beverage Manager
• Full-Time Chef
• Casual Café All-Rounders

With the aim for successful applicants to commence from mid-July.

⚽ What a weekend at the Australind Junior Soccer Club 2026 Girls Carnival!

At AMD, community isn't just something we talk about, it's where we live, work and (this past weekend) cheer from the sidelines. That's why we were so proud to sponsor this fantastic initiative, celebrating grassroots girls' football right here in the South West.

The carnival was a huge success, and it was made a little sweeter for our Margaret River Director, Catriona Le Blanc, whose daughter Sophia took to the pitch with team Leeuwin - the U17 carnival champions! 🏆

The Margaret River office would like the record to show: bragging rights, secured. 😉

Congratulations to Australind Junior Soccer Club, the volunteers, and every girl who played, you made the weekend one to remember.

💰 Reminder: The announce wage increase dont necessarily start on 1 July! 💰

We've had a few questions from employeres (and their employees) about when the new minimum wage and award wage increases actually apply.

The key thing to remember is that the increase starts from the first full pay period that begins on or after 1 July.

For example:
👉 If your pay period started on 28 June, the new rates do not apply during that pay cycle because it began before 1 July.
👉 Your wage increase will instead apply from your next full pay period.

This catches a lot of people out, so don't panic if your first July payslip doesn't reflect the increase—it may simply be because your current pay period started before 1 July.

Their S.R.S. Wallcliffe Chardonnay 2023 has just been named the world's best First-Class white w**e at the 2026 Cellars in the Sky Awards in London — the only Gold Medal in the entire White W**e category, judged blind by Masters of W**e, no less. 🏆

As accountants, we can confirm the numbers all check out: 1 Gold Medal, 40 years of awards history, and zero surprises that it came from Margaret River. 📊
