Here are the two methods you can use to claim car expenses/travel which are set by the ATO.

If you do a lot of driving the logbook might be the way to go, bonus is you can use an app called drivers note or myDeductions which can also log more than your driving.

Sad fact: we can’t just claim 5,000km with no proof.

Did you know employers and things like private health insurance, bank interest etc actually have until the 14th of July to finalise and submit to the ATO.
If you are booked in we may not be able to submit your tax return on the day if it is missing something.
If you are wanting to book, try and hold off and book your appointment after July 14th.

Please note that if you have a non standard tax return ie rental, crypto etc you will need to book an hour and a half.

Its that time again for business owners.

If we do your BAS the deadline for this to be completed and lodged is August 25th.
What to do next:
- Make sure you have reconciled until June 30 2026
- Provide us with all relevant information to complete your BAS as soon as possible.
- If you wish to make an appointment you can book through our website (you can find the link above on our social media pages).

We know we have harped on about this, but here is your last reminder because today is the day that employees receive a 4.75% pay increase. Make sure from the first pay cycle from today that your employees receive that increase.

July is just around the corner - LITERALLY! Don't let tax season sneak up on you like a surprise party you didn't want to attend. Book your appointment now and avoid the stress of running around last minute with a bag and grabbing every receipt in sight (and hope that it's something you can claim)!

Saturday is the last day to pay any super you would like to claim as a tax deduction for this financial year.

The 21st might be a Sunday but make sure you lodge and pay you May IAS, if you want tax free thinking for the weekend then finalise by Friday and enjoy a relaxing weekend free from boring tax admin!
