You’ve spent years building your wealth and probably have a good idea of how you’d like it to support the people you care about in the future. But when did you last check that the plans you have in place actually reflect those wishes?

A will is an important starting point, but your super, beneficiary nominations and changing family circumstances all play a part too. As life changes, it’s worth making sure your estate planning changes with it.

In our latest blog, we look at why estate planning is an important part of your broader financial plan and how getting things in order now can provide greater clarity for the people you leave behind.

Meet the team - Bron Jenkin

Meet Bron, the creative mind behind much of Bold Wealth's content.

With more than 20 years of experience across executive and business support, marketing and communications, Bron works behind the scenes creating blogs, website content, emails and social media that help make financial concepts easier to understand. She's passionate about turning complex topics into practical, engaging content that helps clients feel informed and confident.

🎯 What's the most rewarding part of helping clients with their goals?
While I'm not the one providing financial advice, I enjoy creating content that educates and empowers clients. It's rewarding knowing that a blog, email or social post might help someone better understand their options and feel more confident when speaking with their advisor.

💡 What's the best piece of advice you've ever received?
Remember that you can't do everything and you don't have to. Focus on what only you can do, trust others with the rest and you'll create far more impact.

☕ Coffee or tea? And how do you take it?
I'll pass on coffee, but a good hot chocolate or chai latte is my go to.

🍽️ If you could have dinner with anyone (past or present), who would it be?
Walt Disney. I'd love to understand how he turned imagination into something that continues to inspire generations and how he kept believing in ideas that others couldn't yet see.

🌏 What's one thing on your bucket list?
Seeing more of the world. I'd love to hit the road in a caravan with my husband and Spoodle Willow and explore every corner of Australia. Then, when the time is right, swap the caravan for a European river cruise – I think every travel bucket list should include one!

Australian women are expected to inherit trillions of dollars over the coming decades, but with that wealth comes important financial decisions.

We're proud to see Dylan Pargiter-Green featured in The Age, sharing why financial education and open conversations about money can help build the confidence needed to navigate those decisions.

As Australia enters the largest intergenerational wealth transfer in its history, helping people feel informed, empowered and confident with their finances has never been more important.

Thanks to Dan Stapleton for featuring us on a topic we're driven to share with as many people as possible.

🧭 Why work with an advisor?

As life changes, financial decisions often become less straightforward.

Supporting adult children, helping fund a grandchild's education, managing wealth across generations and navigating estate planning considerations can all introduce new complexities.

While these decisions may have financial implications, they often involve broader considerations around family, priorities and long-term objectives.

An advisor can help provide structure to these conversations by explaining the available options, highlighting potential trade-offs and helping people make decisions with a clearer understanding of the implications.

Over time, this can help ensure financial decisions remain aligned with what matters most.

👉 If you're navigating some of these conversations or simply want a clearer understanding of your options, we'd love to have a chat.

Every now and then it's good to step away from the day-to-day and simply have the time to think and strategise.

Recently, Danny, Tracy, Dylan and Bill caught up to talk about where we're heading, share ideas and discuss how we can continue improving what we do for our clients.

We're looking forward to getting the whole team together for our strategy day later this month and continuing the conversation.

We’re a finalist. 🏆

What a way to start the week!

We’re incredibly proud to be recognised in the Professional Services category at this year’s Bendigo Bank and Be.Bendigo Business Excellence Awards.

To be named alongside so many outstanding Bendigo businesses is pretty special and a reminder of the passion, hard work and innovation happening right across our region.

Thank you to everyone who has allowed us to be part of their financial journey. Helping people navigate some of life’s biggest decisions is why we do what we do.

Congratulations to everyone celebrating this recognition alongside us. We’re looking forward to catching up and celebrating together at the gala in August ✨

Meet the Team: Tracy Dutt

With an extensive career in financial services, Tracy has worked across a variety of roles, from running her own advice business to leading teams within boutique and mid-sized advice firms.

Passionate about quality advice and creating a consistent experience for clients, Tracy believes a professional adviser should help create opportunities, reduce surprises, solve problems and share knowledge in a way that is engaging and meaningful.

🎯 What's the most rewarding part of helping clients with their goals?
Helping remove the uncertainty and doubt when making financial decisions, so that clients can move confidently towards achieving their goals.

💡 What's the best piece of advice you've ever received?
Cultivate an abundance mindset. Believe in all that is possible.

☕ Coffee or tea? And how do you take it?
Coffee. A double shot flat white in a small cup, no sugar.

🍽️ If you could have dinner with anyone (past or present), who would it be?
Dr Sylvia Earle. She has lived an incredible life and career in marine biology and oceanography. Talking with her about global conservation, Mission Blue and the establishment of Hope Spots would be incredibly inspiring.

🌏 What's one thing on your bucket list?
Travelling to Kerala in South India to take a traditional houseboat through the canals and backwaters.

Outside of work, Tracy enjoys spending time with her family, pottering around in the garden and cooking up a storm in the kitchen.

Before 30 June rolls around... 👀

The end of the financial year has a habit of creeping up quickly, and with it comes questions about tax planning, super contributions and what opportunities may be worth considering before EOFY.

Some of the most common questions include:

💬 Have I made the most of my super contributions?
💬 Should I be looking at carry-forward caps?
💬 What happens if I've sold investments this year?
💬 Is there anything I should be doing before 30 June?

If you've found yourself asking similar questions, our latest blog covers some of the key EOFY strategies worth considering before the financial year wraps up.

Could you spend $700,000 in a year?

Researchers at the The University of Alabama and Texas Tech University found, 44% of people who receive an inheritance or financial windfall do exactly that.

Others go to the opposite extreme, leaving large sums untouched in an everyday bank account for years because they're unsure what to do next.

The reality is that inheritances and windfalls rarely arrive at a simple time in life. They often come during periods of grief, retirement, family change or other significant life transitions, making it harder to step back and make clear, confident decisions.

Dylan recently joined the Equity Mates Media crew to unpack the common mistakes people make when receiving a lump sum and why taking a breath before making any big decisions can be one of the smartest moves you make.

👉 There's plenty more to unpack in the full episode. Watch it here

Daniel Palmer headed up to Cairns last week to spend some time with the Manunda Hawks Australian Football Club - AFL Cairns at their Sponsors Day in the AFL Cairns League – a club we’re proud to support as part of our commitment to backing local sport and the communities around it.

It was Indigenous Round, with the Minjil local dance group performing a Welcome to Country between the women’s and men’s games.

It was also a big day for the Hawks, with former AFL Hawks and Cats premiership players Isaac Smith and Liam Shiels flying up to pull on the jumper, before sharing a few stories at the sportsman’s night later that evening.

Wishing the Manunda Hawks a great season ahead 🦅
