We’re incredibly proud to share that DFK Benjamin King Money has been awarded the inaugural DFK ANZ Impact & Influence Award at the DFK ANZ Conference.

This prestigious award recognises firms that demonstrate exceptional long-term commitment to the growth, unity and success of the Association, and we’re honoured to be recognised for our contribution and positive influence across the DFK community.

Special congratulations also to our CEO, Cheree Woolcock, who received a Lifetime Contribution Award for leadership across DFK ANZ, APAC and International. Her dedication to partnership, collaboration and initiatives including Emerging Leaders and IWIL has left a lasting impact across the Association.

To celebrate, our team came together for lunch at The Bridge Hotel and reflected on what this achievement meant to us. The words shared captured the spirit of our firm perfectly:

Prestigious. Teamwork. Collaboration. Proud. Perseverance. Empowerment. Trusted. Opportunity. Respect. Culture. Recognition. Consistent effort. Hard work pays off.

Above all, this award reflects the incredible people behind our firm and the strong culture we continue to build together.

Thank you to DFK ANZ for this recognition. We’re proud to be part of such a collaborative and supportive network.

The Directors of DFK Benjamin King Money and BKM Audit Services are currently in Auckland attending the annual DFK Australia New Zealand Limited (DFKANZ) Conference.

Day 1 featured an insightful Tax Forum presentation from Directors Tim Kelleher and Paul Turnbull, who delivered a high-level discussion on Pre-CGT Assets within business and investment structures.

It’s great to be connecting with industry leaders, sharing our knowledge, and staying at the forefront of key tax and business developments across Australia and New Zealand.

We are looking forward to what the rest of the week will bring!

ESG reporting is no longer just a future consideration, it’s becoming a business priority.

With mandatory ESG reporting set to apply to some Australian businesses by 2027, now is the time to understand how these changes may impact your organisation.

Even businesses outside the reporting thresholds may still be affected through suppliers, partnerships, and client expectations.

At DFK Benjamin King Money, we help businesses navigate the ESG landscape with practical guidance on reporting requirements, strategy, and implementation.

Last night, Jim Chalmers presented the 2026/27 Federal Budget, marking his fifth as Federal Treasurer.

Key announcements from this budget include changes to capital gains tax, negative gearing, trust distributions and fringe benefits tax, alongside new tax offsets and a standard deduction for wage earners. Superannuation settings were largely unchanged, although existing Division 296 provisions remain an important consideration for members and trustees. Proposed trust taxation reforms also signal a structural shift, including a minimum tax rate applied at trustee level from 1 July 2028.

Given the breadth and complexity of these proposed changes, now is an important time to understand how the Budget may impact your personal, business, and investment structures. We encourage you to review our full commentary, as well our Tax & Superannuation report and our Federal Budget overview report for a broader summary of all measures announced.

We’re proud to have supported Dance for Sick Kids 2025 alongside Ronald McDonald House Victoria & Tasmania last year.

Dance for Sick Kids is a 7-day dance challenge held during National Families Week, encouraging individuals, schools, workplaces and dance studios of all skill levels to get moving and raise funds for seriously ill and injured children and their families supported by Ronald McDonald House.

The 2025 campaign brought together more than 4,000 participants and raised over $820,000 to support families with seriously ill children across New South Wales, Victoria and Tasmania.

It’s inspiring to see communities, schools, dance studios and businesses unite for such an important cause, creating a meaningful impact for families who need support most.

We’re also excited to support the campaign again in 2026, looking forward to once again getting behind this incredible initiative and helping make a difference for families doing it tough.
