New financial reporting rules are on the way for not-for-profits.

The Tier 3 simplified accounting standard is designed to make reporting more practical, while changes to special purpose financial statements mean many organisations will need to adjust how they report.

Last week, we shared that the Moore Australia (WA) team was lacing up for the HBF Run for a Reason, preparing to join thousands across Western Australia in support of causes that make a real difference.

Race day delivered exactly that. 14 members of our Western Australia team took part in this event across a range of distances, each with their own goals but united in support of an event that brings the Western Australia community together for good.

From first time participants to experienced runners, it was encouraging to see our people get involved and contribute to an initiative that raises vital funds for charities making a meaningful impact across our community.

Congratulations to everyone who participated and helped make the day such a success.

Here are a few highlights from Sunday!

Internal audit is about more than checks and compliance. It helps identify gaps, improve processes, strengthen governance, and build a culture of transparency and accountability, all contributing to more resilient organisations.
