Things are about to get spicy. š¶

You did the mindset work. You said the affirmations. You raised your prices.
And then a client questioned your rate and you discounted on the spot.

Here is what actually happened in that moment.
You had belief on one side. Their objection on the other. And belief, even hard-won, journalled-about belief, is still just a feeling. It's smoke. No heat behind it. And smoke doesn't hold up when someone actually challenges it.

This is not your fault. The coaching industry sold you mindset work because mindset work is easy to sell. What they didn't mention is that belief without evidence underneath it burns out the moment someone pushes back.
Now flip it.
Imagine you knew your exact margin on that client. You knew what you needed to keep from every engagement to pay yourself properly, cover your costs, and still have something left. The rate wasn't what you felt you deserved. It was what the numbers said the business needed.Ā
Client pushes back.
You don't fold. Because it's not personal anymore. It's just the number. And the number doesn't have feelings.
Belief folds. Data holds. š¶ļø
